Welcome to Christopher Michael's Portfolio
Hello my name is Christopher Michaels and I am a Graphic Designer from Montreal studying at John Abbott College. Ever since I was very young, I had a huge passion for computers. As my passion grew, I got involved in making websites. At first I was using a simple page builder. However in Grade 8 I was taught HTML and Adobe Photoshop in my computer class. I became fixed on web design; I used to spend hours at home in my room making websites for topics I showed an interest in. I quickly learned and memorized HTML; my teacher realized that I was advanced compared to my peers and decided to teach me CSS and give me side projects. I designed the original website for Riverdale High School, however my version has been replaced since I graduated.
After graduating I decided to enter Computer Science at John Abbott College. I spent a year in the program and decided that my passion for design was so great that programming was just something I would do on the side. I made the change over to Publication Design & Hypermedia Technologies. I instantly excelled in my program the first two semesters because of my knowledge of Photoshop, HTML, and CSS.
